QuickBooks tip: Use the Esc key to close a screen instead of your mouse

From 27 Power Tips Every QuickBooks User Should Know - By Scott Gregory

Think of how much time you spend over the course of a week trying to finagle your mouse to get it in just the right spot within QuickBooks to close a window.

Oh no! You didn’t close just the open window, you closed the entire QuickBooks program! (Bet you’ve done that a number of times, haven’t you?)

Save countless hours over the next year by using one of the simplest tricks I have seen inside QuickBooks (and the one that gets the “most cool” award from my students when I’m teaching QuickBooks).

Just tap the Esc key

Instead of messing with the mouse to close a screen, simply tap the Esc key instead. This technique quickly and easily closes one screen at a time. And it is WAY faster than trying to position the mouse properly.

BONUS TIP: To quickly and easily navigate across open screens in QuickBooks, simply click Window in the menu bar. This will then show you a list of all the open screens and you simply click the one you want to view.
